Body of Email Missing from Sent Fax

When I fax from email to 0123456789@rcfax.com, the fax received is missing the body of my email. I'm not sure when this started (it wasn't previously like this however long ago), but I noticed for the first time today. I'm a long-time, basic user of the fax product. Maybe it's a setting issue?

I looked into this as well for one of our clients. The only text that shows up on the receiving end is the text in the "subject" line. The response from RC support was that you MUST have an attachment for the body of the fax, and they are working on this issue.

I had this issue today.  Was told by support that the Body of an email is not a field that the fax is going to interface with but that I can put in a feature request.

I just discovered the same problem.  for the last few months I thought everyone was getting my email messages.  When I fax something for a client to a government agency (that can't receive emails from the public) I put a message in the body of the email so that my client will know what the fax is about and I was assuming the message appeared in the body of the fax cover so that the recipient knew the details of the contents of the fax rather than just what is in the subject line.  I'm so perturbed by this not being a basic function of ringcentral that I'm prepared to return to metrofax.

Come on guys...HIPPA    I need a 1 paragraph disclaimer on the fax cover page.

Option 1 -- Allow me to enter my disclaimer in the body of the email....require a wrapper if youd like

===coverpage_body====
     My disclaimer here
====================

Option 2 - In the cloud console, allow me to define default text for the body of my cover page (this solution is really, really easy if you have your own development staff and are not reselling another's service.....)

By not having this feature you are basically telling us that you are not catering to nor currently servicing the medical industry in an appropriate fashion....OR you're trying to tell me that everyone in the medical industry is using their own cover pages, which means custom/duplicate scans with custom cover pages for each submission...which is very, very inefficient.

How can the purported leader in the industry be missing such a simple, critical piece?

metrofax and fax87 both have this feature - why bother begging ring central to change their archaic system?  It's apparent they only have the fax capability in the first place as as an afterthought.  Their business model seems focused on voip business phone systems.  They probably figure faxing is going to die out soon and have no interest in paying someone to fix their less-than-state-of-the-art faxing service.
