"All circuits are busy" or busy signal incoming calls

We are having an issue where callers are report hearing "all circuits are busy" or receiving a busy signal when calling our lines. I personally have experienced this issue as well when attempting to call into the office. My Office Manager has spoken to RC technical support who have been no help. This has been ongoing for several weeks and we are getting to the point of cancellation of service as we can't have calls go unanswered. I am hoping someone can help with this issue.

Is this a new RingCentral implementation where you ported your numbers in?

Does this happen consistently from certain callers?

Hi Brandon,

It is happening on our original toll-free number from RC that we've had since day one (three plus years) and also a relatively new ported in phone number. Unfortunately, I can't really speak to it's consistency, however it is frequent enough that we have had clients advise us that they cannot get through and several times I have experienced this when calling in to speak with someone at my office.

Thanks for your help in advance,
Ian

I see.  The reason I ask is that there is sometimes a difficult and unfortunate side effect when porting in a new number.  The issue will normally show these symptoms you describe for specific callers.  It would be connected with a single or handful of providers such as Sprint mobile phones, as a random example.  The only way to resolve it is by reproducing the issue and contacting the support for the callers service (Sprint in my example). If this is the case, it is not RingCentral that can do anything about it, unfortunately.

Now, if this is an intermittent problem and you you are able to call your toll free from your mobile phone normally, but sometimes it fails with these errors then that is definitely something RingCentral should be able trace and resolve.

The last possibility I can think of would be some misconfiguration in your system.  Perhaps trying to overflow or forward calls to an invalid number, for example.  You might consider any changes that may have been made on your system.

Best.
