Can a sidecar button be programmed for speed dial?

We have Cisco phones in our office. Two of the phones; an SPA508G & SPA504G have a 32 button sidecar, SPA500S. A few of the buttons are used for 'Presence' and one button transfer to other users. Can the unused buttons be programmed with a speed dial number?

You didn't explain how to do this. You just said what numbers not to use. Can you elaborate?
