softphone

I recently got a new dell desktop with Win 8.1 installed. I have downloaded the softphone and when i boot my pc the softphone starts (WHICH I WANT) but it doesn't minimize so I have to close it. With my Win7 laptop (also Dell), when it starts the softphone is started and minimized in the lower left part of the taskbar (where it belongs).

Hi Leon,

Check on option go to general and remove the check mark for "open softphone main window when softphone starts" then click on ok. that should fix your concern.

Thank you for your reply. I already had that switch unchecked. I checked it - rebooted and unchecked it and rebooted - no difference. The softphone is configured the same way for both my laptop (with win 7) and desktop with win 8.1 but as I mentioned before with Win 7 it is minimized when the laptop boots. With win 8.1 it stays opened upon booting until i minimize it.

any other ideas?
