DTMF Star / Asterisk Key Cisco SPA-122 ATA

DTMF for the star (*) key is not transmitted correctly making it difficult to use IVR and conferencing systems while calling from my RingCentral line.  All the other keys work fine.  I've tried dialing a landline and listening to the tones and every other key produces a normal output.  The star key comes through twice.  i.e., it sounds exactly like someone is pressing the star key twice in a row.  This only happens with my RingCentral supplied SPA-122 ATA.  My user supplied SPA-3102 ATA on a different RingCentral extension does not exhibit this behavior so it may be an issue with the ATA settings.  Any ideas on how to fix?

Update:
I contacted support and they stated that it is a known issue because the star key is used to activate functions on the RingCentral PBX and therefore the tones cannot be properly relayed outside of the RingCentral system.  RingCentral closed my ticked and reclassified it as, "[FEATURE REQUEST] - Disabling RingCentral PBX" and apologized for the inconvenience.  Meanwhile it is preventing me from using the conference call system of one of my clients and RingCentral has not offered a workaround.  I am sorry, RingCentral, but having a business phone system that cannot properly transmit the tones for key presses is a defect, not a missing feature.  When will it be fixed?  Excerpt of the RingCentral response follows:

"When calling third party PBX system, callers are required to press on options such as * or even #. However, these commands triggers RingCentral PBX system which have these * and # options assigned to a specific rule. That's why when you press * it automatically puts call on hold or provide different set up."
