SSO on Softphone?

The softphone on Mac offers an SSO option, this would be great for our users, as RS passwords and numbers are a pain to remember. I can't find any documentation about this (other than old documentation that says it doesn't work on softphone).

Can anyone confirm if SSO work and if we can use Google Apps (idea) or LastPass (the other option to authenticate).

I think is depending of your plan with RC... http://success.ringcentral.com/articles/RC_Knowledge_Article/6748

Hello Dan,  Claudio is correct, it does depend on which plan you are on. You can view the details on the link he posted above. If you want to proceed, use the following link to open a support case. There's an escalation process that the case will go through.

We are on an eligible plan. It's more that that document states "Single Sign On can be used on the Service Web only. Customers still need to use their RingCentral credentials if they want to use the Softphone, Mobile app and RC Meeti" yet the option is available in the soft phone.

So my question is, will applying for SSO allow me to have users use it on the softphone, and is it compatible with Google and/or Lastpass?

Hi Dan, I checked with one of our Tier 3 engineers and they said it should be possible.

So it turns out this is now available at all in the UK. Pretty poor, especially as this is not mentioned anywhere in the documentation.

Hi Dan,  Thanks for your follow up post.  Can you clarify, did you mean "not available" or "now available".  I didn't realize this was a UK account and there are some differences.  I don't see a related case on your account.  Do you have  a related case number, or did you speak with someone on the phone?  I just want to make sure the correct information is Communicated across our support channels.

Great.  Thank you!  I did see your other post.  I agree it would be nice and cause less confusion to have the UK and US accounts offer as many of the same features as possible. Thanks for your comments. They will be shared with our product team.
