How do I get calls to go to my mobile phone voicemail rather than my RingCentral account voicemail?

when someone calls the ring central number, I have it set to forward to my cell phone, however if I don't answer the cell phone the ring central voice mail answers and then I have to wait until I get an email or text with the voice mail attached, I would like to have my cell phone voice mail utilized instead of having the call go to the ring central voice mail. I tried playing around with more and less rings but nothing has worked?

I am having a similar problem, the voicemail picks up but the prompt to "press 1 to pick up call, 2 to decline" is the voicemail and the user never gets through

I have the same issue is there a way to have forwarded calls go directly to my cell phone, without the need to press 1 to take call?

On transfer you need to set for blind and not require the press of a digit to connect. Also the rings are important. Realize that on transfer you may hear 3 rings but ring central actually took 5 rings. It is based on time to connect and not actually a ring. The ring is just a sound you hear at a configured time duration. Because calls are going over the net the initial connect time starts with routing to your device and this will take at least 1 ring worth of time and usually 2. So if your cell is set to VM after 4 rings then you will need 6 to 7 rings on ring central. In actuality you could have ring central set to 20 rings since in theory your cell VM will always be answering when you don't. Realize this is just therapy because sometimes that call cannot be routed due to network issues like long time delays and has to default somewhere. That somewhere is your ring central vm. So set ring central to a max of 7 rings.

Scarlinsjc were you ever to get this issue resolved? I didn't pursue any further so I thought I'd ask you if you had any luck

are you using the Ring central app on your phone?  If so the call is not technically transferred to your cell it is the app,  So your Cell voice mail never comes in to play.  If you are not using the app and just forwarding the call to your cell then it will work

Let me know

Thanks

I too am having this problem. No matter how many rings I have my RingCentral number set to allow before voicemail, my cell voicemail does not pick up: it just shows as a missed call on my cell.

I'm pretty sure this is a "Community" support site where RingCentral customers can help each other and share ideas. For actual support you need to contact RingCentral directly.

Would the simple solution be to turn take messages to off?
