Mobile App: Why won't the RingCentral mobile app work on my Nexus 7?

I am not allowed to download RingCentral android app on my original Nexus 7 tablet. Google Play Store labels it as incompatible.I know that there are issues with not being able to use the headphone jack for a microphone. I am mainly interested in faxing. Anyone know a workaround for the 2012 Nexus 7? Is the 2013 compatible?

Not true, I have a Wifi + 4G version of the Nexus 7 and Play store still tells me it's incompatible. Yet the RC app downloaded, installed, and worked fine on my Samsung Galaxy tablet which WAS wifi only, and running the same version of the Android OS (Jelly Bean 4.1). Any other ideas?

At one time, there was an issue with the first generation Nexus 7.  This was due to the device requesting camera permission for a feature that allowed the user to take profile pictures. Early versions of the Nexus 7 did not have a rear facing camera causing the incompatibility.  The app has had several upgrades since then and should now run on the 1st generation Nexus 7's even though they do not have a rear facing camera.
