How do I address a "config reverted" error message on phone boot?

After configuring a phone for provisioning (it is an IP335 that was in use with another provider), I receive a "config reverted" error after the phone boots. I received a web provisioning guide and I think I have followed it as closely as is possible (some configuration options differ) but I still receive this message.

The phone does get a dial tone and makes calls.

  1. US
  2. No related case
  3. See description above
  4. Would like not to receive this error
  5. Have done the provisioning process over several times
  6. 4.2 version of Polycom firmware
  7. Rebooted several times

For this, you may want to give us a call and go over it with a telephone support agent. We can try to help manually provision the phone, but if it's a 3rd party phone it's uncertain if we can get it to work.  1-888-898-4591

Hi Mike. Working with Erika R. on the support team we figured out a solution. The provisioning materials that we had to work with didn't quite do the job so with some trial and error together we arrived at a solution.

Erika was a rock star by the way.
