"Close" doesn't mean minimize

If running iOS,  you will need to turn off the VoIp Calling setting to prevent incoming calls. 

This is also true for Android users running Marshmallow OS.




If you are referring to the RingCentral for Desktop app, then the process is a little different. 

Look at the far right of the system tray for hidden icons.

Click the arrow shown below to display the hidden icons.






Right click the icon, and then close the app from there.
