Desktop App: Logitech audio issues

I'll try and make this short.

What is basically happening is when I am speaking with customers with my Logitech 430 Headset, they can barely hear me. This wasn't an issue until I was forced to upgrade ( more like downgrade unfortunately =/ ) to the new "RingCentral for Windows". The legacy soft phone was awesome, and disappointed that they forced users to discontinue it. Why fix what isn't broken?

Anyway, back to the problem. The legacy softphone software had a output volume bar slider that let you adjust your Mic volume in the options. This new App does not. So I am basically forced to use my cell phone when I am at a remote location from my company.

Can we please have this feature added? My Windows Mic Device is already maxed. This happens on all mics so far that I've tried, and Windows 7, 8.1, and Windows 10.

Again, the only issue here is that the outbound volume has no bar to increase the output sound of the mic.

Thanks,
-Chris

To the right of the "active call" I have a little speaker, which I click to increase the volume.  I too use a Logitech headset.

Thanks for the reply!

Unfortunately my problem isn't me being able to hear customers. The issues is customers cannot hear me. I need to adjust my actual Mic volume, not my speaker volume. I can hear everyone just fine :(.

Understand.  So, I can adjust mine within the program for my Sound Card.  I just tested it and I was able to make it really loud to the other party on the line, and really low.  However, I know everyone uses a different sound card depending on their PC.  And course, there are different programs associated with the Sound Card.

Hello,

I have a customer who has a Logitech H600. They have no inbound/outbound audio for the RingCentral Desktop App for Windows. Has anyone else seen this issue?

It's unfortunately a bug on their end that they do not wish to address. The only solution I see is allowing us to use the SoftPhone App again, which would be a huge upgrade.

I did however find a work around // figured out why my outbound calls are not working. Basically every time a call is made on the RingCentral App for Windows, it lowers my volume/mic controller to 50%, which the customer is not able to hear me. I have to manually increase it to 100% each and every time a new call is made. Then the customer is able to hear me perfectly/clearly.

Regarding "bug on their end", do you mean Logitech's end?

I apologize, I meant to specify Ring Central's. The old SoftPhone App never behaved this way, nor do any of my other Windows Application that uses my headset/mic.

@Christopher, if this is an issue, then we need to send the case up for investigation. Do you have a case number for me?

Kim,

Unfortunately I do not. I personally wrote a detailed description of the problem on the "feed back" portion of the app and left my contact info. Never got a response back.

@Christopher- that is just as good. This is a perfect example of when to use it!! Unfortunately, they cannot respond to every submission but know they do see it.
