Shared Lines: How to use a digital lines for a shared line group?

I bought 2 spare phones from you to place in common areas in the office so anyone can pick-up calls to a shared line group. I have an Office plan with 2 digital lines. Can I use one of those two digital lines for the shared line group?

It's a new account which I'm just about to setup. I was told by Sales it is possible to provision more than one phone to a line. I have 4 phones and 2 digital lines. What I'd like to happen is to assign one of the digital lines to one of our users, while the other digital line will be used for a shared line group. I want the 3 phones as part of that shared line group so that when that number is called, the call can be picked up anywhere in the common areas. I called Support and was told I will have to buy another line - a Shared digital line. On the online account, when creating a Share Line Group, there is an option to use an existing number but neither of my 2 digital lines appear as an option. Can I not use one of those digital lines for a Shared Line Group?

Yes, you can share 1 of your lines b/w 3 phones, but will only be able to take 1 phone call at a time. There will not be any call waiting. With Shared Lines, you can share up to 8 phone with 1 line... but again only 1 call at a time.  

The Admin will need to create a Share Lines Group under Phones Systems > Groups/Other > Add Group and then select Existing Phone. If the DL Line you want to use is already assigned to a hardphone, then support will need to unassign the DL so that it can be assigned to the shared line group.
