On Hold Reminder (beep) for Polycom VVX 410 phones

I am trying to configure my RC-provisioned VVX 410 Polycoms to beep on hold or when the line is parked after a certain time interval. I found a Polycom CFG file that can be edited to do this: beep after initial time and beep every N seconds.. However, not sure how to configure this on the RC provisioned VOIPs.. Any advise?
THANKS!

I'll try to get you more feedback or advise, but doing this may not be a good solution, as the config file would be typically wiped out any time the phone reboots.

Hello Steven,

Good Morning. The feature that you are looking for is currently a feature request. Unfortunately, We are unable to edit the script/xml files on the RingCentral provisioned phones on a user/account level. All changes on the script/xml file is done on the server level. RingCentral may consider this along with the other enhancement of the future.

Thanks
James

Hi James. Can you please shed some more light on this. When I downlaoded the cgg file from the phone after it was provisioned by ringcentral configfiles.cfg I do see the following settings:

call.hold.localReminder.enabled="1"
call.hold.localReminder.period="60"
call.hold.localReminder.startDelay="90"

these are exactly what I need, but it looks like it is already enabled (not working though).

More information on this issue. I had partially figured out the issue solution. In the config file I had to insert a carriage return after each line:
call.hold.localReminder.enabled="1"
call.hold.localReminder.period="60"
call.hold.localReminder.startDelay="90"
and the VVX410 started to beep on hold exactly as specified. Changing parameters manually now is accepted by the phone after a reboot. However, the issue remains with the ringcentral parked locations. When the call is parked in other words is placed on hold on any of my Park locations - the phone stops beeping. That is where I hit the wall so far. Any help is appreciated! Not having the beep on hold while in Park - significantly minimizes the purpose of the parked location, especially as this feature is available on the original phone line hold.
Thanks!

If we could change the color of the green light to red for example when parked by the user at least it would be a form of notification. On our old system we had this feature. Now my operators gets always confused if the call belong to them or it is someone else who parked the call. My hands are tied because I don't have admin access to my vvx410 phones.

is this different then a call being placed on a hold and the party hearing whatever music or tone is set? if so maybe being able to edit the music on hold for park locations just like user extensions, would be a change ringcentral could try and implement.
