The reason users often record a user greeting when they think they are recording a voicemail greeting is that from a desk phone (calling into their user admin), once they press 2 for admin then 2 for greetings, the FIRST prompt is for user greeting and it sounds like what they want, so they press 1.  If RingCentral would switch the prompt order to "Press 1 to change your voicemail greeting ... Press 2 to change your user greeting" or change the wording in the current order to "Press 1 to change the greeting the caller hears before the call starts ringing ... Press 2 to change the greeting they hear before leaving voicemail message" then most people would not accidentally record their voicemail greeting as a user greeting.  We get 1-2 help desk calls a month telling us their calls are going straight to voicemail.  This simple change would resolve it.
