Contacts: add Favorites in the RingCentral softphone

Hi, I'm a brand new user and I have a quick question and I'm hoping someone can point me to a solution.


I would like to have a list of all users in my address book so that I can simply click on a name and have it ask to dial out. A simple window that I can keep open on my second monitor and just click to dial.


What would be great is if I could use the softphone app and just have one of the buttons be favorites or contacts. I could leave that open and click on it.


Is something like this possible?

Hi everyone - the ability to add "Favorite" contacts is coming in our new softphone, which is in beta now. Expect it to debut in wide release sometime in the next couple months.

Contact list? All of these comments and notes assume that you use either Windows Mail or MSC Outlook! Many of us, familiar with the problems with these two programs try not to use them...there other programs out there that are far better than Outlook!
So, how does one create a contact list, or get "softphone" to remember frequently used numbers that we use for faxing, only? Thanks for you advice in advance

I swear that at one time I was adding the contacts in my address book in the online account and it was syncing with the SoftPhone, and then that feature mysteriously disappeared...I talked to RC person and he said that it is an upcoming feature and swore to me that it could have not happened. The only way was to add the Outlook Contacts - silly! We need a SOFTPHONE to SYNC with Online Account and everyone will be happy.
