Admin: Add feature to block both area code and prefix.

I'm located in the U.S.  I've learned that I can block area codes or phone numbers under the Super Admin user.  It appears to allow any number of digits in the Phone Number field.  My question is, Can I / How do I enter an area code and a prefix?  Does it allow wildcards?

In other words, I want to block everything originating from area code 123, with prefix 456, but without having to specify each and every full number (123-456-7890, etc.)  Please tell me this is possible... we have to stop these spammers!!  I've tried entering the area code and prefix but it did not seemingly work.  We don't want to block the entire area code for fear of blocking out legit callers.

Thanks,
Dan

Kim, thanks for the reply, but I know I can block an area code.  Please re-read my question.  I want to block and area code and prefix combination, not the entire area code, and not a specific full number.

Dan,

I have tested doing what you are asking for (on my Super Admin extension) using both a "#" and a "*" as wildcards for the last four digits of the phone number. Each time the block showed as +914555 when I typed in 914-555-**** or 914-555-####. When I tried to call it I still got through. (I used my personal numbers and not what I am showing above)

I would go so far as to say what you are asking about is currently not able to be done.

Thanks for the testing, Jan!  That was my experience as well.  It seems like a simple feature that absolutely should be added.

Jan,  Thanks for helping out.  I'll change this to a feature request. It would be nice to have a wildcard as Dan explained above.

This seems like a pretty straightforward request that should be easy to accomplish. I'm surprised this feature isn't already available. Please add to the list of things to include for the future.

I've been getting hit with robocalls that are spoofing the same area code and prefix when they call.  This would be really nice to have.
