Fax: Confirmation to attach the pages faxed

We really need the fax confirmations to come through with the pages that we faxed attached.  It is very hard to verify that certain documents were faxed if the confirmation just shows "sent" and the number of pages.  We need to be able to verify that we sent certain pages.

It's been over a year since Stu submitted the topic. Even if it wasn't a priority, which it should have been, any decent and reliable company should have fixed this matter much sooner than a year. Yet, we're still waiting....

I feel like this will never get fixed. I'm an attorney in the Kansas City area and if this isn't fixed soon I will have no choice but to look elsewhere for services. And I will share this critical flaw with anyone who may ask. Get it together RC!!!

How can a fax company not be able offer a fax confirmation sheet? This is a basic function. It's crazy that Ring Central has taken over a year. It's a basic and vital function that businesses need to prove that faxes were delivered successfully. I just need a fax confirmation showing a copy of the first page sent and how many pages were faxed. It's not asking too much for a basic fax function. I really don't think Ring Central is even trying.

I doubt RC cares about its customers. This request for a very important fax function has been made by numerous people years ago and RC has nothing to show for. We need proof of fax submission. Why do you think fax machines have fax confirmation sheets? It's to prove to people that a fax was sent just like certified mail is used to prove mail was sent. RC knows this, it just doesn't care.

I was told by a CSR two days ago that "our engineers are currently working on this issue" and that it was a major complaint from RC customers... Is there any estimate of when this crucial upgrade may be available? Lack of this feature is a HUGE NEGATIVE in our early RC experience.

Is there ANY update on receiving a copy of ALL faxed documents with the fax transmission results (confirmation) - includes the "status", date & time, fax number and exact image of all that was sent?  This is critical to be able to prove what was actually sent/transmitted.  I was floored that RingCentral did not have this and have started to look for other phone options (at least I was smart enough not to sign a contract).

They've been saying their engineers are working on this issue for years. Either they have the most incompetent engineers or they simply don't care. There are other online fax providers that offer this feature.

Now normally that will clog the pipes of my email client and not transmit. I suspect the same will happen with the RingCentral fax forward feature, but as far as I can tell, there is no way to know if the email was sent or not. Is there a log showing faxes forwarded as emails and whether or not they transmitted?

I would like to have the option to have the confirmation of a successful fax transmission emailed to the person sending the fax from the webpage, not just to the administrator. A previous provider had this option, and it is much more useful to have the person sending the fax know that it succeeded!  This was accomplished by a drop-down selection with the email address for each employee that could send faxes on the page creating the email.  This, possibly combined with a confirmation to the administrator would be possible options to have in company setup.

Would it be possible, on the emailed Fax Message Transmission Result, to include a graphic of the first page of the sent fax, would be very helpful. Also, could there be a link there that would take you to the online record of the faxed document? thankyou.

RC has said they've been working at getting this function for years. Don't hold your breath. There will never be a fax confirmation sheet with a copy of the first page sent. This feature has been requested for years.

I definitely know for a fact that this service used to exist because I was using it last year. Now for some reason ever since we changed our account tyou it doesn't work. I think if more people voice their opinions more and more about the importance of having the fax confirmation. Attachment sent to the emails as well they will be more inclined to fix this issue promptly. Don't bother calling... send and email the cooperate office in the US. RC''s call center in not in the US and if you call and asked to be transfered to the US office they say they don't have the ability to do that. I asked them fore the direct linemail and was told they don't have it.

OK so when are you going to add the fax confirmation function that has been requested for years? I know some of the threads have been deleted, but there have been requests for this feature for well over a year.

This is really sad if this is the best place to request features. The requests for fax confirmation pages have been made over a year ago by a number of people and nothing has been done. This feature is needed for businesses. There is virtually no customer support.
