Sorry for the frustration. There are often a lot of issues to discuss when closing an account especially if there are numbers that need to be ported.

Please visit this page:   Cancelling a RingCentral account/Billing Overview.  After performing the steps online, then call (Monday - Friday888-898-4591, and press 5  to finalize the cancellation.

Note: Support cannot cancel your account.

What happens when you wait an hour on the line to cancel and get no one? I need to cancel this account.

Yeah I'm in the same situation. Been on hold for 1hr despite a "9 min wait time"

When I contacted online support they gave me this message.

To cancel the account please contact our phone specialists at 888-898-4591, and press 5 on the menu, due to cancelation may only be done over the phone. They are open from 6:00AM to 6:00PM PST.

I tried it and it worked!

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled How do you cancel RingCentral?. Our phone system is not coducive for a business and no one at RingCentral is able to correct it. My customers have given up and are now calling us individually on our mobile phones. RC has been unable to help us.

RC has no 24/7 method of cancellation. Also no verification of FAX reception. Also no notice that cancellation cannot be accomplished on weekends... until you come to this page on the 3rd post from the top.
Oh, and I forgot, it's klugey in Chrome (no matter how often you update it).

Thanks for this feedback.  I've added "mon-fri" in the post above.  If you don't mind sharing,  What issues did you find using the Chrome browser?

I'm looking to cancel my account.  Will I receive a pro-rated credit to my credit card if I pay annually?

You would need to speak to your Account Manager. You don't mention whether or not you are on an annual contract or if you just paid an annual amount without a contract. If you are on a contract I don't believe you would get any pro-rated credit simply because you are on a contract.

Again, don't take what I am saying as gospel. You don't give enough information to give a definitive answer. It is still best for you to contact your Account Manager to discuss this.

Jan is correct!  (thanks Jan).  If there's a contract, you'll have to go over the details with your account manager/retention team. 

If you don't know who that person is, reply back here and we can look it up.

Thank you for your comments.  As to me not giving enough information to receive a definitive answer, I had no clue that there are options with or without contracts.  I set up my account over the internet.  I don't recall having to deal with any Account Manager.  I do know that the account auto renews, as we were charged for a new year in July.
