My office does not have a full time receptionist so we a couple of people who handle all incoming calls. We have 1 person sync with the receptionist so both phones ring at the same time on incoming calls. The problem is that when the receptionist is not in and the back-up is away from their desk incoming calls go unanswered.
Is there a way to have incoming calls temporarily routed to another extension when that individual is away from their desk and then routed back when they return?
Another example of what I am suggesting:
Person A & B at desk --> Incoming calls --> ext. 100 & ext. 101 --
Person A & B not at the desk (out to lunch) of ext. 100 & 101 --> incoming calls (temporarily) routed to ext. 102 or whoever is available
Person(s) A & B returns to desk --> incoming calls --re-routed to ext. 100 & ext. 101
All of this done with a push of a couple of buttons.
