Why does the Softphone keep beeping?

My program pops up for not reason and then beeps like it is getting a fax. The number is 1008 sometimes it is 1006. How do I stop it? I have re-booted my computer.

This does this on mine as well. I get to work, it's beeping and coworkers are upset because of the beeping. My door is locked so no one can do anything about it until I get there. I have to remember to lower the volume on my speakers everyday.

It's like someone's trying to call or fax something. There's NOTHING connected to my work laptop like an XBOX or anything. I have my own private network at work and do NOT share with anyone else. the eXtreme fax call controller just pops up and starts beeping from 4 digit numbers.

I was going to delete the software and then reinstall...but can't find anywhere where I can download the little "pop-up thingy" on my laptop W7. Instead there's this "softphone". Does that replace the eXtreme fax call controller?
