Deskphone: assign different ringtones for Call Queue and user extensions?

Is there a way to change the ring tone to differ between an incoming call going to the Call Queue and an incoming call going directly to an extension.

is this an option for polycom phones?  on my poly VX, I can only change the ringtone globally.  I don't see where you set rules for different ringtones.

Hi Kris,  I'm not sure which exact model you have, but I found instructions for the VVX 400 & 410. It looks like you can do this if they are in your Company Contacts. 

Updating Ringtones To change the incoming call ringtone, select Settings from Home view, and press Basic > Ring Type. Select the ringtone you want. To set a ringtone for a contact, navigate to your Contact Directory and select the contact. Press Edit, update the contacts ring type, and press Save.

We have vvx310. I have calls coming into the main phone line with a 00 up front and direct calls without. Is there a way to change the ringtone for the 00 calls?

That is for desktop app. I'm talking about the desktop phone

A more generalized variant of this same basic issue. ** Especially for softphone users ** We would like a way to distinguish internal (extension to extension) calls from external calls. A real bonus would be to allow very specific ringtones based on the inbound caller ID.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Distinctive personal ringtone to differentiate from call que ringtone. We need a way to distinguish an incoming call on our person DID from a call que call . A personal ring tone would accomplish this. Is this possible?
