Why can't I import all contact details into RingCentral?

I am trying to import contacts from a CSV Excel file with the company name, contact name, business address, business phone and business fax, but the only thing that gets uploaded is the first and last name. How can I import the entire contact information?

Hey Team, I am usually answering questions but now I have an issue.

The importing of contacts is no longer working.  I have been doing this for years with a CSV file and the excel template with no issues but recently I am getting an invalid CSV error.

Even in the simplest of examples where I have an empty personal contact list, I add one entry, Export that  Add another entry to the file, save it in the same format it exported and try to upload and I get an Invalid CSV file error.

Need some assistance here

There was an update that it will no longer accept any contact with special characters. Check this.  If you don't have any special characters, send us the file and we'll try it on our end.    

Special Characters not accepted:  < > \ " 

Some people have also had luck with opening a NEW excel document and pasting the contacts in there...and saving it as a new CSV file.

Well, in the export the system auto populates a date for birthday with 01/01/1889

Even removing that it still fails.

How about an E-Mail address so I could send you my file

Or just send me an E-mail so you don't have to post here

Do not worry, I bet in RC, they really knows you, very well. It is weird that you can't upload the contact list by yourself...
