Why is the call quality for conference calls so choppy?

While participating in a Ring Central Conference Call we experienced choppy conversation that cut in and out. We set up a Voice VLAN on our network and the call quality has been excellent. How are the conference rooms configured and is there any way to enhance call quality between our firewall and the cloud based conference room?

We have the same call quality issues with the RC conference lines too.  Static, choppy.  Other calls are fine, just the conference calls are affected.

Hi Melinda,


Have you tried to test your traffic on the upload side? That's what our issue ended up being, was the upload pipe was just too full for the phone traffic - especially when a few of our folks were in on the conference call.
