Presence: How do I enable Presence on all available lines?

My customers are using the Cisco SPA504-G, and I have noticed that only two lines are available for quick-dial and presence. When I navigate through the menu on the website, this is what I see: On the phone, the first line is "Shipping Room" and the 2nd line is "Line 2". When I logged into the phone directly, by entering it's IP address into my browser bar, I am able to get more in depth with the features. I figured out how to enable both of the lines, but after a while, what is on the phone and what is in RingCentral (in regards to Presence), does not match. The phone will reboot, and it will go back to having "Shipping Room" and "Line 2" back to where they were. Here is a screen shot: I clicked on the "Admin" login link, then clicked on the "Advanced view". I then clicked on the "Phone" tab, and I am able to edit the entries for the quick-dial keys. It appears the each user is identified by a 10 number value, which are represented as sub=blf0123456789 (every user is different). Anyways, I found out what each users blf number was, and put that in lines 1 and 2. It was pretty much copy and paste, with the exception of the blf value. I made sure the other values were correct, changed the name at the end of the value string to equal that user, and even changed the "Short Name" value. I submitted the changes, and the phone took the configuration. Everything seemed to work. However, after a while, as I mentioned earlier, what was on the phone did not match what was in RingCentral, and the RingCentral config took priority. The phone rebooted and it was back to how it was. I would like to be able to keep the configuration changes on the phone that I implemented, and have that translate to RingCentral services. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi MIchael, Would you be able to post the entire text of the extended function field for Line 3? It's truncated in your screen shot. I'm tyring to manually configure presence on a Linksys IP Phone SPA942.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled How can we tell if someone is on a call?. Is there a way that my employees can tell if someone else is on a call? Sometimes we transfer calls to each other but there's no way of knowing if that other person is on a call already.

Hello, for some reason that I can't find, the Presence setup on the RC Portal is not being applied into the phone (is a Polycom VVX411 purchased outside Ringcentral).  What I found was going thru the browser into the phone (via IP address) and updating some of the HotKeys, problem is I don't know the rest of the BLF codes for more lines to be added.  So first question is how can I get the list of our BLF line codes?  Second question is, according to this post, that manual configuration will be lost in the next sync?

correct,  it will be over written.  there is no need to go in to the phone interface once provisioned.

you apply the presense in phone section for each user.

Is the phone associated with a user?

It is associated, I made presence setup in several other phones from RC and from 3rd party, just this one refuses to acquire the settings of the presence from the cloud...
So manually works, I just don't know how the get those particular BLF line codes

So if I understand you can only ever have 2 line presence buttons for the user on a phone? Seems like more should be allowed.

Hey Joe, depending upon the device, you may be able to add more. I would suggest chatting with Tech Support who can go over your options :)
