Prints pdf instead of attaching to fax

When I attempt to attach a pdf (through any method) using Softphone, it prints instead. When I check my installed printers "RingCentral Internet fax" is now the default printer. Try again, same thing happens. So I switch it back to my regular printer, try to attach it again, the same thing happens, and the Ring Central Internet fax is once again the default printer. This is only happening with pdfs. I am using the latest version of Softphone. Help?

Hello,

I had the very same problem.  Even after completely uninstalling the program and reinstalling the program, after a couple days it would revert back to printing the PDF and I would waste hours every time trouble shooting the problem.  That is until one time I accidentally went to print an item and it attached to the fax instead.  I forgot to change the "printer" to my network printer.  Once I discovered this, I was all set and haven't wasted any more of my precious time!  All I do now is this:

Every time I use my network printer to print a document, I then "reprint" the same document into the softphone fax by going to file, print, in the document itself.  Even though I do not want to fax the item, if I then close out of the fax and say yes I do not want to send fax, my attachments go through my softphone every time.  The problem is something gets confused with PDFs once you print something on your network and once you reset it through the document it doesn't confuse it anymore.  I know it sounds stupid as the default printer is set for ring central fax already but it works like a charm!  I only wish customer service would have known to tell me this but at any rate I am glad I stumbled across it as this is a great service for the money since I fixed the issue I had.
