Forwarding to multiple phones and the incoming call announcement feature

How does forwarding calls simultaneously to multiple phones work with the incoming call announcement feature? When one person answers the call to listen to the announcement, does everyone else's phone stop ringing at that point? Or do they not stop ringing until someone actually connects to the caller?
