IOS app and adding a pause to dial an extension

I have the IOS app for RingCentral on my phone. Version 3.9.0. I have entries in my IOS phone book and company phone book that have 2 commas after the 10 digit number to pause 4 seconds before entering the extension. This works fine on my IOS phone book but the RingCentral app strips the commas out of the entry. What am I missing? Why does the RingCentral app strip them out? This is extremely useful for dialing into conference calls without having to look up and entering the 6 digit security codes on a weekly basis. Thanks.
