Calls lasting 4 hours

We have several calls a week that come in after hours and last for almost exactly four hours. (4:00:04, 3:59:58, 3:59:57) Since it's after hours, these calls should be routing to our auto-attendant, which hangs up after 40 seconds of inactivity. It shouldn't be possible for the call to go on for four hours, so I don't believe it's a real call. This is costing a bundle in toll charges!!!!! I emailed customer support a month or more ago but they never responded. The numbers look like legitimate phone numbers, but of course it's a different number each time, so blocking is not helpful. Our Ringcentral numbers forward to our main VOIP number (not through RingCentral).

Sounds like the voip software is leaving the connection open after the call is over. Is someone leaving a message at the time?

If you voip program is recording a message, and doesn't have a time limit on the message before disconnecting the call, it will leave it open for a long time. Also, it could be that the time limit on the message is set for 4 hours instead of being set for 4 minutes.
