Fax doesn't automatically work?

I gave a customer my ringcentral number to send a fax, because I assumed that it would answer the fax signal, but she said that my message played. I'm confused. How do I configure this so that the fax will pick up automatically when someone faxes.

I sure wish I knew the answer to this.   I'm struggling with this too.    I have figured out that while my direct number does not answer, if I fax to my company number and add a * and my extension then the fax is delivered nicely.    but the *EXT is proving tricky for some to understand.   the Direct number would be much better if it worked.
