we recently switched our ISP to Time Warner Cable with 10/1 bandwidth. when running the QoS test, our jitter and packet loss seem to vary a lot. we only have two RC lines connected to an ATA for use with existing phones. Pior to switching we had DSL and call quality seemed fine (though we were not using RC extensively at the time). the TWC supplied cable modem/router (Ubee) does not have QoS capability. should i be looking to add a separate router behind the existing Ubee modem OR replace the Ubee modem/router with a more robust modem/router that supports QoS? or should I be looking at something else entirely?
