need to forward call to a twilio powered number

I'd like to have an extension that forwards the call to a twilio.com powered number. I have setup a new extension and then configured it to forward to the twilio number. Twilio shows that it receives the call but the ringcentral system says that no one  answers and send the call to voicemail.

Ideally, the call would be transferred to the twilio number and then twilio handles it from there.

Can this be done? If so, how should I configure the extension to do the transfer?
