Cannot find a way to access shared Google Drive folder for Fax Attachments

We use Ring Central for all the phones in our office and Google Drive for our cloud based server. Our company's Drive folder was originated by my partner, and we were then invited to "share" this folder for access. This morning when I tried to attach a file from this Folder after linking that Drive account to Ring Central the shared folder was not visible to access any of our Company's files. The workaround I used was to copy the file to the Drive Account's parent folder in order to attach it to the fax. While this worked it's cumbersome and defeats the purpose of linking a Drive Account to Ring Central since the files don't appear to be available.

On my Android Phone with the Google Drive App installed I have to select the "Incoming" option when my work account is selected in order to see the shared work folder. Perhaps there needs to be a similar option on Ring Central to access a shared folder in a Drive account.

Never mind, I answered my own question. Turns out I need to select "Add to My Drive" when the shared folder is selected to also make it visible in "My Drive" (files are still visible in "Shared with Me"). This also made it easier to access on the Android Phone now, and of course the folder is now accessible on Ring Central. Annoying there was no information on this found within Google, only on outside tech forums when I searched after seeing the "Add to My Drive" button on Drive web portal (use InSync to access multiple Drive Accounts on my PC and rarely view these folders on the Web). InSynq always just showed the shared folder as a subfolder in Windows Explorer.
