Using forwarded number as caller id

We have several numbers that are forwarded into our RC system because they cannot be ported. A few months ago, RC support taught us a workaround to display these forwarded numbers as outbound caller ids. The process was:
  1. Assign the forwarded number to Auto-Recepetionist.
  2. Change the user's outbound caller id to the Auto-Receptionist number.
  3. Set the forwarded number back where it was and the user's caller id will persist with the previously assigned number as desired.
This no longer works, despite the fact that several caller ids we assigned to forwarded numbers this way still persist as desired.

We need either of the following:
  1. The solution outlined above to start working again.
  2. The ability to directly assign any number, forwarded or otherwise, to any user's caller id.

Hi UC,   You'll probably want to give us a call to so that the agent can capture all the details.

HI Daniel, for this situation it will be much more efficient to give us a call again so that you can provide all the numbers to the tech support agent and they can go through the process and test if necessary.  Or, you are welcome to  Open a Case and provide the details that way too.
