MISSING PERTINENT INFORMATION ON FAX COVER SHEET FROM SOFTPHONE

WHEN I CLICK ON THE ENVELOPE ICON FROM THE SOFTPHONE NEXT I CLICK ON SENT ITEMS. NEXT I CLICK ON ANY FAX I SENT AND MY FAX COVER SHEET IS THE FIRST PAGE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE DETAILS AS TO WHO I SENT FAX THE FAX TO, DATE AND THEIR FAX NUMBER. PLEASE MAKE AVAILABLE TO ME. I AM NOT LOOKING TO POST BUT RATHER HAVE ASSISTANCE FROM TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Are you referring to the RingCentral for Windows phone? The newest iteration of their "softphone"? I switched over to it and I must say, I preferred the Old Softphone to this RingCentral for Windows phone. It is missing a huge laundry list of features the softphone had. The ability to fill out the Name, Company, Dept, etc of the person you are faxing documents to should be a given, yet, it is not available.

I agree - we only use the fax service, so this is a real backward step for us.

Sorry this isn't the answer I know you are looking for, but to get the details you are looking for, you'll have to log into your account through the website. There are more detailed logs there.

Not talking about logs. We're talking about being able to fill out the name, company, etc for the recipient inside the desktop app. Right now, all we can do is add a name from the address book. So that means creating an address book entry for potentially hundreds of recipients to whom we will never need to send a fax again. Why is the new app making this so much harder?

Sorry If I'm misunderstanding you. Your original post above is referencing sent faxes.

That was Private Citizen's entry. I am expanding on Jason's entry. When I create a fax from the Windows app, I cannot send to someone who is not already in the address book. I have to first create a new entry in the address book. I don't want to fill up the address book with recipients who I will only send 1 fax to in their lifetime. I used to be able to send a fax to anyone by just typing in their fax#, name, company. etc. in the SoftPhone app.

My apologies. Sorry for the confusion. You should be able to just enter the fax number in the "To" field. What's happening on your end?
