Ring once or twice before auto receptionist and press 2 for voicemail

I just got RingCentral last week and am still trying to set up call handling.  What I want to accomplish is the following.  When you dial my business number, it will ring once or twice before the auto receptionist starts talking.  Press 1 to talk to me.  Press 2 to leave a voicemail.  So my extension is already set to #1 so pressing 1 to talk to me is not a problem.  However, I don't know how to make it ring before the auto receptionist starts talking.  I also don't know how to set it up so that when people press 2, it will go straight to my voicemail.  Any ideas?

Hi Peter, are you looking for a caller to hear a Ring tone before the auto receptionist picks up?  I know in all of the Auto receptionist configurations the caller does not hear a Ring tone just the beginning of the message.  Now if this is just a cosmetic item where you want your caller to hear a ring tone then I suggest recording a ring tone on the front end of your greeting.

As for the Press 2 to go directly to your Voice mail just create a VM only extension.  Assign it Extension number 2 and then have that extension deliver the voice mail to your Extension mailbox.

This should solve your issues

Thanks

Thank you, Chuck.  I figured out the voicemail only extension. As far as recording the ring tone in the beginning, I think your idea is a good one. :)
