Deskphone: How do I Disable Message Waiting Indicator?

I've got the Polycom IP 335 HD IP phone - Is there way to disable the light?  Or auto-mark all messages as read?

Thanks for the reply - how?  The only way I see to do it is go through it page by page.

Hi Randy, unless I'm not understanding, there should be a check-box to select all, but yes you'll have to do that for each page.

Yes I see that.  I'm trying to disable the light in general though.  I never use the online portal as I get my messages emailed to me.  So the light is ALWAYS blinking (and I always get the stutter-dial tone too.)

Hi Randy, did some double checking, and it looks like we should be able to flat out disable it from our end. I'm going to email you personally so that I can get the correct phone number you want it disabled for, so you don't have to post publicly.

The MWI can be disabled/enabled by a RingCentral employee on the back end.
You can contacting Support directly and provide them with the phone number & serial number of the device you wish to disable/enable the Message Waiting Indicator light on.

Yes, it is possible to disable the "message indicator" light.  If anyone needs this done, please contact Support with the serial number and phone number of the device(s).

Thanks

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Disable Message Waiting Indicator Light. With RingCentral, is there a way to turn off the "Voicemail message waiting indicator light" on the Cisco SPA-303 without logging into your portal, if you are already getting your voicemails sent to you in email?

You have to go into the portal and change it, and once changed, won't need to go in again (unless you want to change it).  It's under Messages and Notifications tab.  Check "Mark message as read once emailed".

Does this work with Polycom VVX 310 models as well?

Noah - Yes, if it's a supported RingCentral provisioned device, we can disable this on the back end.
