Create a fax cover sheet that contains a confidentiality notice on it.

trying to make a custom fax cover sheet with the confidentiality notice on the bottom of the fax cover sheet. I added it once and send it. I see the notice I go back in to send another fax the confidentiality notice is missing. I spoke with ringcentral they stated that a lot of customers are requesting this but they have no time frame on when they will have this available.

Just did this.  If you are using the desktop app, you can create a new fax cover sheet.  Any from the Microsoft templates will do.  Must have a docx extension.

You can add a text box with the confidentiality statement wherever you'd like.  We also hard coded some of the info, such as our phone and fax number so it would not merge it from our account.
Then you can upload to the desktop app.

Choose the new one when you send a fax.  I think you only have to do this once.

I tried creating a new fax cover sheet under the desktop app. not sure about docx extension. will have to try that. I know that I created a new fax cover sheet and sent the first one fine but tried again and the fax cover sheet was blank.

question when you say desktop app do you mean softphone app.

I was also wondering if you could supply me with the steps you took to create a new fax cover sheet. I'm still having trouble

Well, technically, I think the softphone refers to the legacy softphone which has been updated to a "desktop app".  For the legacy softphone, it looks like they have removed the edit function from the fax cover sheet that used to be available- sorry!

Well, at first there were a lot of limitations on the new app.  Most have been fixed, but the usability is a little different and we have not switched our whole team over yet.
The last thing I am waiting for is a way to remove the name of the fax sender from the header in the fax.  It pulls from the account associated with the person using that particular desktop app to send the fax.
After that, we will probably switch our team over.

I think some of the confusion here is that some users have installed the newer RingCentral for Desktop and the Softphone looks different than the old version. However you can still create a custom fax cover sheet. 

1.  Open the RC Desktop and click the Fax icon shown. 


2.  Download the "sample.docx" file as shown below.  Make your desired changes to the form, save it, and then upload it using the "Attach file button also shown.  You'll need to give it a name in the field titled "Cover Page Name".Then, click the small "Check Mark" on the right side to save the custom cover sheet. 




3.  After saving the custom cover sheet, it will show up in the list of other cover pages.

How about adding a field with the number of total pages in a fax on the Custom Fax Cover?  Is that possible?  I do not see that field offered in RC's sample.docx.  Am I missing something?
