Stop Hold Music during Call Flip?

Is there a way to flip to another phone without the hold music playing?

Hi George,  Sorry, but there's not a setting or option available to do this. When you do a Call Flip it places the call on hold so just uses whatever the hold music is.

Thanks Mike, Do you suppose the development team are presently working on making the Google extension into an actual phone? (It would be nice to have that functionality.) In the meantime, I would find it helpful to be able to select RingCentral for desktop rather than the Desktop phone as the connecting phone for the Google extension. Is there a way to do that?

Yes, if you have the RC Desktop softphone app installed and opened, you can use it to complete the call, or any other phone. Just enter that number in the field shown below.

This doesn't work for me. I have my RingCentral direct number selected, but it fails to ring the softphone. Only my desk phone rings with the ringout.

Is there a setting elsewhere for ringouts that I need to change?

Log into your account and look at the Call Handling and Forwarding roles and make turn on the setting to "Notify my Desktop app and Smartphone"

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response.
I double-checked and it seems I had that setting set correctly already.
