Ring out is ringing the person I am calling before connecting to my desk phone.

Ring out is ringing the person I am calling before connecting to my desk phone. The people I am calling are ending up in my voice mail on my desk phone. How do I fix this? I have made no recent changes to configuration.

Hi AMM,

This does indeed sound very strange. How are you initiating the call (from RC Desktop/Softphone, Mobile App, Google Chrome extension, etc)?

I'm making this a private conversation so you can post any numbers, screenshots etc without it being viewed by others.

I am ringing out from the desktop app to my landline/desk phone. Usually there is a very short delay & it rings through to the desk phone, I pick up & it connects. I turned on the dial '1' to connect feature & it still dialed the person I was calling first. Incoming calls are fine.

As an experiment, I tried ringing out to my cell phone. Same problem, it connects the person I am calling before it connects to my phone.

It really sounds like it's doing a direct dial, instead of a RingOut. If you open the Desktop app, and go to Settings > Calling, is the following button selected?

Double checked that & it was correct. I even switched it to direct dial to make a call from my computer. THat worked. I switched it back & still the same problem.

You definitely have something strange going on. You can try to uninstall, and re-install the software if you wish, but if that doesn't fix it please Open a Case and include some sample times, dates, numbers etc of this happening so our support team can look into this and try to trace the problem.
