My printers do not show up in the new Windows desktop app. How do I access them?

The old app showed me all my networked printers and I could print faxes to any one of them by selecting it in the Options. The new app for Windows does not show any of my printers, so faxes do not print automatically any more. How do I get them to display?

If you open the fax that you wish to print (typically you'll be viewing the document in Adobe Reader), then just click File > Print and the Adobe print screen will have a drop-down menu that lets you select from any of the installed printers.

I know that, but the option to print automatically (without having to open up the fax) still exists in the new desktop app, but the printer dropdown box does not display our printers, making it impossible to have them print automatically. How do I add my printers to the dropdown? It works flawlessly in softphone.

Which version of the Softphone are you currently running? 
You may need to reinstall, update, or go to Control Panel > Devices & Printers, and make sure the printer(s) you are looking for are shared on the network.

The printers are on the network. I use them all day long. The old softphone app lets me choose my printer for auto printing, but the new desktop app won't display them.... Excuse the duplicate entry below. Lead fingers....

Hi Lu, 

Which version of the Softphone are you using? The latest version at this time is 7.0.5.  When you turn on the option to "Automatically print incoming faxes" You'll see a window like below. You'll see the version # in the lower left corner.  Also, you should get a drop-down like shown where you can select the desired printer.  It will only display 4 printers at a time so be sure that you are scrolling down through the list. If your mouse has a scroll wheel you can use that, or you can also scroll using the arrows on your keyboard.



If you still aren't seeing the printers try to re-install the Softphone and let us know what happens.

Thank you - I found them - the key was your saying it only displays 4 at a time. I tried using the scroll bar, but it didn't do anything so I never saw the rest of them. The trick was to scroll wheel - why doesn't the scroll bar work?

You're welcome! I'll have to look into the scrolling issue. I'm not sure why the scroll bar doesn't work, but it does make it hard to see the other printers if you don't think about scrolling down.
