Integrating existing service providers/carriers (SIP trunks).

If we replace our FreePBX solution with RingCentral, can RingCentral integrate with our existing SIP trunks, so that we can accept and route calls from our existing number ranges and route outgoing calls through our existing carrier services?

Hey Roy, I do not think that Ring central allows direct SIP trunks in to their infrastriucture.  I have been installing and reselling for years not and have not had that need yet.  For larger installations I have dedicated internet and routers and switch hardware to elieviate any QOS issues and have been successfull.  Numbers should be able to be ported....  But we could check the prior

How many users, how many sites.

Let me know

Thanks

Porting the  numbers would require RingCentral to be established as a network operator (directly or through a partner) in all countries/regions where the customer have public numbers, would it not?

Are there other ways to route calls, or will the service effectively limit a customer to placing calls through RingCentral's network of peering partners and PSTN arrangements?

I try to keep community discussions somewhat generic, so that the answers may be of value to others.

Lets define the use case as a 50-100 employee organization with 3-5 locations across US and Europe. Additional local public numbers for sales and client services in the largest markets including Canada, UK, France, Germany and Scandinavia. There is also the need to route some calls to an offshore call center in India.

Hi Roy, You are correct. You would have to port the numbers. Also, we do offer International Virtual Numbers which you can read more about here:  International Virtual Numbers (IVN) Overview

Once you have your account and numbers set up, there is a lot you can do with the Call Handling and Forwarding features. You can read more about those features here:  Call Handling & Forwarding Overview
