Polycom VVX 410 and expansion module, how do I increase the maximum?

I have a Polycom VVX 410 with an expansion module. Right now it's capped at 52 users for Presence. The Expansion module has 3 Tabs you can select, and right now the users only fill up a tab and a half. How do I increase the number of users from 52 to fill up the rest of this expansion module? It seems a bit silly to need a second module when I have one not being fully utilized.

Hi Joe, I am doing some additional research on this one for you. It appears the sidecar is capable, but I see where you are running into the roadblock as it the website doesn't give you enough lines to add more users. I'll get back to you as soon as I have more details.

Thank you. It's not a Rush. I figured I would try these forums before I went to RC support since it's not a pressing issue.

Hi Joe, I had some people look into this and they found that it has to do with the current firmware version. I was informed there would be a new version pushed out in the next few weeks, and it should resolve the issue.

All right. So the product was released with 3 tabs, but it's not supported to actually use what it came with because it wasn't built with firmware to support it?

Thanks for the help. I'll look to check in a few weeks for an updated firmware.

This seems to still be an issue as I am currently experiencing it. Has there been any progress? If i had known about this before hand, i would have stayed with the old IP 670 and 3 sidecarts.

It's funny since we implemented these of December of 2014 and 2 months ago I posted about it. They're "working" on firmware to utilize all of the product they designed. It's incredibly silly that they designed it with 3 pages, but you can only use the first page and a half due to "firmware". I don't think it will actually get addressed as we've had ours for half a year now and it's yet to be.

You can have 50 presence currently (including the 12 on the VVX410). They are currently working on expanding that.

I am currently using the VVX500, but if I go to transfer someone, I can't get back to the main screen, the side cart is my only option.

We are having the same problem and have been told there is no update or work around at this time. I would think this would be a more popular request for larger install bases.

They just pushed a firmware update to ours last month that allows us to use all three pages of the expansion module.

Would you be able to confirm what firmware load you are running that its working with?

The most recent version for the VVX410 at this time is 4.1.8.0628

If you are having issues with that version then you'll want to open a support case.
