Can I delete an extension and use the telephone number for a direct dial to a call queue group?
One of my employees quit. I need to disable or delete his extension and I would like to just use his number as a direct dial number on one of our existing call queues. The call queue setting has an option to add direct numbers but it's not quiet clear how I can use an unused number for direct dial.
Any ADMIN can disable an extension under User Info. If there is no device assigned to it, the ADMIN can also delete it (after the green bubble turns yellow indicating it's been disabled). If there is a device assigned to it, Support cannot remove a digital-line due to contract reasons. You'll need to contact your sales rep.
