ZTE Phone Compatability

Whenever dialing out on a ZTE 7796C phone, the RingCentral app is adding a +1-(area code) to whatever number we dial. This causes the call to not go through. Does anyone know if this is a setting which I might be able to change either within RingCentral or the phone itself?

Can you clarify, is the call being placed inside the RingCentral app or is RingingOut to your cell phone carrier and your cellphone is making the call?
