How can I get my Softphone to work again?

After some problems with my Softphone I was directed to install this new, lame software that doesn't have any of the functionality I choose Ring Central for.  After uninstalling this "update" I can no longer print to fax.

What version are you using now?  The latest version 7.1 does have the Print to Fax feature.  If it wasn't working, let us  know. There's a chance the printer driver may not have installed if it wasn't working.

I was using 6.04 til it started giving me problems, tech support suggested I used the desktop version for Windows which stinks, I can't even find my sent stuff.

Sorry, but it's currently not possible to see sent items. You'll have to log into the main account at this time. Our product team continues to add features but I have no ETA on this yet.

As far as the problem Printing to Fax.  You may need to install the printer if it didn't do it automatically. This page shows how:  The "RingCentral Internet Fax" printer is not showing up in my list of printers.

Thanks for your response.  I'm confused by the responses, when I got my email it said the problem with old Softphone was fixed so, I have reinstalled my Ring Central printer, thank you.  Hopefully Ring Central will not discontinue Tech support on this product until they make a suitable replacement for those of us more fully utilizing the fax functions available in earlier versions.
Is there a software update for the Softphone available for Vista and Windows 7?

It's my understanding that even though no new features are being added to the Legacy phone, we'll still provide general tech support for some time.  There are still some additional features in the RC Desktop version that are in the pipeline and it's unlikely they'll retire the old version until the new product is equal or better than the old.  There is no specific date at this time but I'm sure it will be announced when that happens, and I'll definitely post an update here on the Community if/when that happens.

How did you get softphone back? We were also told to uninstall it and had to use the new program. We would much rather have the old desktop application.

My software did reload and I could send faxes but my print to fax, says it's working but it doesn't attach the file so I will try to re-install.  If I re-install, will I lose any of the information I have stored there?  Please advise.  Thanks.

barbkueber@gmail.com,   Which version are you now using?  You probably just need to install the internet fax printer.
