Call Handling: how to Forward from Ext to Call Queue?

We have a main number with rc.  When clients call this number I want it to ring directly to our receptionist handset, but if she is busy/away from desk I need it to then ring simultaneously to my three supervisors which I have setup in a call que.

how can i make this work

Hi Milo,  I took a look at the account and I think there's a configuration mistake. Can you confirm for us the route & extension numbers explaining how you want the calls forwarded and we can take another look or show you where the problem is?

Hi Milo, you could not put call queues as part of an extension call flow.

So if you want this flow where the receptionist gets the main number and if they are unavailable then it rings 3 other people at the same time.  You cant use call queues for this.

There is a way but without using call queues.

hope this helps

Well, if the receptionist is just that and this person does not get calls directly to their phones for other functions then I would just create a group witin the call handeling of the receptionist extension and add the others if the receptionist does not answer then the next in the call flow will be the group that will ring the 3 extensions you want to ring.

This should work

Thanks

You need to add the extensions " there is a link "forward to other phones"

Do not type in the number like you would a cell phone ETC

I am assuming that each of these people to get the call have an extension on the system

Hello,

To add to Chuck's response go into the receptionist extension, select "forward to other uses phones" as he stated.  After adding, then create a RingGroup for those 3 additional devices and have those ring after the receptionist.  Set the extension to ring sequentially and place the receptionist phone 1st in line, then the RingGroup.

Let us know.
