RingCentral for desktop (newest version) immediately closing after signing in - unable to even open the program!

I double-click on the program to open it, it opens and is darkened, showing that it is signing in, then once it is signed in and I can see our contact list, it immediately closes and disappears. It has been doing this for no reason known to me since Monday 5/4. Nothing was updated or changed. It just stopped working.

I sat on the phone with customer support for almost an hour already, and that was during my downtime at work. I unfortunately don't have the leisure to continue doing so unless I stay past my shift due to the type of job that I have. That being said, I was hoping to get some ideas here so I can troubleshoot the problem in between tasks.

Our main desktop PC is Windows 8.1. We have Norton installed, and we have the latest version of RingCentral software installed. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, restarting, and even disabling the firewall and auto-protect on Norton. The nice customer support rep remote connected to our PC and did the same, deleting any and all files in the Programs folder. Same thing. We even added RingCentral to be excluded with Norton, that didn't work. At that point, I had to end my phone call with customer support due to it getting busy at work. We have a case #, but again, I don't have the availability to troubleshoot and work at the same time.

Can anybody HELP?! I am pretty computer-savvy to an extent. I have no idea if drivers maybe didn't install correctly, or registry keys are off. Aside from a different mode on the computer, I have no idea what to do. We use this program to send PDF faxes to other offices since we use a cloud-based office software. I can log into RingCentral and fax/email these PDF files to the receiving office fax lines, but it makes it much easier to just do so from the software.

Do you know which version of the software you were trying to install?  The Legacy version won't run on Win 8.1.   Do you know if it was version 7.1.1 ?  or 7.1.2 ?
