Nomenclatures

Please explain the meaning of the nomenclature of the Call Log report from RingCentral Portal.

I'm still dealing to build a good report from it and I found some status from the column Action and Action Result, that I do not understand, for example, what means "Phone Login" ?

Accepted:_______  (self explanatory)
Call Connected:_______ (difference with "Accepted" ?)
Missed:______ (nobody answer or user hung up ?)
Partial receive:_______ (why?)
Phone Call:________
Phone Login:________
Received:_______  (self explanatory)
Rejected:_______  (self explanatory)
Sent:_______  (self explanatory)
Voicemail:_______  (self explanatory)
Transfer:_______  (self explanatory)
VoIP Call:________
FindMe:________
Call Return:________
Incoming Fax:_______  (self explanatory)
Outgoing Fax:_______  (self explanatory)

Any other Action that I'm missing ?

We have someone working on this and we'll update the thread when we have more precise definitions.  For now this is the best information we have.

The "Missed" calls always baffle me.  We are set up to ring simultaneously, so when 1 person answers, all the other extensions show a "Missed Call."  Makes the report hard to use.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled definitions(nomenclatures) for the call log 'Actions' and 'Status' columns?. Is there a complete list of the definitions(nomenclatures) for the call log 'Actions' and 'Status' columns? I am having a hard time deciphering these.

We are still trying to get some official definitions for some of these and we'll update the thread when they are available. As far as the Accepted, those are just connected incoming calls, and the Call Connected is the same thing, except an outbound call that connected.

I already read this overview and it does explain the meaning for things such as Sip Forwarding, VoIP Call, what is the difference between Accepted or Call Connected; are they different for an inbound call and/or an outbound call????

This is from my call log and the result is the same for both inbound and outbound.  Is it the Action column that decipher how the call was handled?

Is there a Key to the different terms used in the call log primarily under "A?

I just called RC Support and they pretty much had no clue what anything meant on the call log. Had a call that I wanted to look into what happened. RC support couldn't tell me anything and didn't want to escalate. The caller stated her experience was completely different from what the call log appears to show, unless I am miss understanding the call log.

Support has not been very helpful so far.

The only "A" in the call logs is "Action", such as "Accepted", "Missed Call", "Hung Up", etc.

I don't know if that's what you are referring to with "A" in the call log.
