fax+quality

Is there a way to get better fax quality?  My scan is perfect. But when the fax sends, it is very grainy.  Is there anything that can be done to improve that?

We are also experiencing low fax quality.

test 1:
It is grainy to the recipients, but not on our end.
It's a jpg image.
Not going to a fax machine... coming in through email/app as an image.

When our customers fax us, sometimes we can't read incoming orders at all... in that case they are using a fax machine to fax us, and we are receiving it via email. However, we were not having this problem with our incoming faxes before ring central, so i don't think it's a issue with the quality of their fax.

HI Anne,  Things like this are pretty hard to troubleshoot, but you if you can gather and  provide some details we can at least take a look at it. If you can tell us the date, time senders number, your RC number, and if you know what type of machine (computer, or other internet fax service) etc.  then we can look at all the information.

Use the following link to open a case if you wish.

Hi Sherry,

Can you provide us with more details?  There could be a few things going on here.

Are you saying that the faxes you send appear grainy by the recipients,  but not on your end when you send them?

What is the process you are using to send the fax? Are you scanning, and then attaching the document?  If so what is the doc, or file type you are saving it as?

If you create a fax in Word, or other application (instead of scanning), is it received clear and not grainy by the recipient?

If everything is high quality on your end when you send it but grainy on the receiving end, then there might be some network related issue or problem with the recipients fax machine. Can you confirm if it is just certain recipients that are getting the grainy faxes?
