How do i connect my Cisco IP Phone SPA525G to my personal hotspot or WiFi network?

I have a Cisco IP Phone SPA 525G, and I am usually on the road a lot.  The phone works great in hotels but there are times when I would prefer to use my own personal hot spot either from iphone or from Verizon Jetpack.  But every time i try to set it up i receive an error message.  is it possible to connect this phone to a personal (not public) hot spot??

Thank Mike, but that is not what am asking.  I am able to setup and manually connect my cisco phone to Wifi at home, at the office and at various hotels.  But it does NOT let me connect it to my iphone hot spot or to my verizon jetpack hotspot.  Not sure if am asking the right question.

The process should be the same for any wireless network.  Where are you running into problems or getting stuck?

Someone told me the VoIP phones (in this case RingCentral) does not work with HotSpots (maybe the cell carriers are blocking certain ports?)
